Shooting offers a quicker resolution to long term costly baiting programs which can also affect non-target species. Wild cats, Foxes, Rabbits, Pigeons, other bird species,  Rodents can build natural resistance to baiting systems over time, so dispatching these pests quickly can also be very cost-effective.

Advantages of Prompt Pest Dispatching:

1 Minimized Waiting Period:

Immediate intervention effectively eliminates the prolonged delays typically associated with baiting programs. Rodents often display caution towards unfamiliar objects, which can hinder feeding and extend results for weeks. Additionally, there is a risk of developing resistance to bait active ingredients over time.

2 Reduction in Breeding:

The swift removal of adult rodents from infested colonies significantly curtails breeding activities.

3 Decreased Vermin Impact:

A reduction in vermin populations results in diminished product damage, contamination, and spoilage, ultimately enhancing profitability for businesses.

4 Cost Implications of Feral Pigeons, other species :

Feral pigeons can create considerable messes and lead to substantial baiting expenses over extended periods.

5 Expense of Bird Deterrents:

The installation of netting to deter birds can be prohibitively expensive, often exceeding $50.00 per square meter. For instance, netting an outdoor eave measuring 12 meters by 15 meters at this rate would amount to $9,000.

6 Efficacy of Baiting Programs:

Although baiting programs can complement this method, their effectiveness may be compromised by the availability of alternative food sources. Bird flocks may become aware of tainted or baited food over time, leading to avoidance. Control measures such as shooting can be more effective when birds or rodents are already feeding on accessible food.

7 Immediate Outcomes:

This approach yields immediate results and facilitates rapid population reduction.

8 Long-term Cost Efficiency:

When integrated with regular pest management programs, this method demonstrates cost-effectiveness over time, resulting in significantly improved outcomes.

9 Environmental Benefits:

This strategy alleviates pressure on the natural environment and safeguards species from feral predators.
